Hello hello hello from St John's Newfoundland. Welcome to the second ok vancouver ok newsletter. It feels wonderful yet bitter sweet to be back in Canada. We have survived 66 days in the United States of America. We got the opportunity to try out some new cites and towns and roads and had so much fun meeting new friends and learning new things. Thanks so much to everyone who participated in our shows, the audience support, sweet bands and rad hosts have been heartwarming! Here is what is happening with ok vancouver ok lately:
||| COMMUNITY OVER CAPITALISM TOUR |||
The US portion of our tour with Katie and the Lichen is over and we are embarking on our Canadian and European segments right now. The Canadian dates are below and you can find our european dates online on our website once the necessary borders have been crossed. A real highlight was our incidental mini tour with Phoenix Arizona heavy hittersDogbreth and Diners . We crossed paths in the Midwest and got the chance to spend a romantic 4 shows together. What a dream come true!

Our van doesn't have a car stereo so we took Jeff's grandparents old sound system and hooked it up to the battery through the lighter. It can only play cassette tapes so we have started quite the collection. We now have over 100, mostly independently released, cassettes of bands we have played with on this tour ! Some of our most beloved new tapes are :

In the spirit of great statisticians we have decided to publish some financial data from the US portion of our Community Over Capitalism tour.
We hope that this can be a neat resource for other DIY bands who want to go on a big music tour but aren't quite sure about how feasible the endeavour will be.
You can find part one of financial report and some interesting stats here. Laura will keep adding to the page as the numbers roll in. A work in progress :)
